Tiger lived in Cedro...is that the future celeb dorm? Rats, I chose the wrong Wilbur dorms ;)

Yeah..wow! That was some hot streak for Cedro... Tiger in 94 and Reese in 95! Although to be completely fair even though they were not household names, they were already mini celebs.

Wasn't Chelsea Clinton in a Wilbur dorm as well? That was 1997. I heard the only modification was the installation of bulletproof glass. I used to park in the Wilbur lot for football games and I looked for a window that was different.

My sophomore year in Toyon we had World Champion Figure Skater Debi Thomas (she won worlds that year) and future Miss America Gretchen Carlson. Also a couple future volleyball olympians including Kim Oden.
And then there was me...

I lived in Rinconada and dorm legend says so did John McEnroe in his one-and-only year at Stanford.

bbm233, I can confirm that is true. I heard about legendary ping pong matches involving McEnroe in Rink A Drink that year.
Jennifer Grant (Cary's daughter) was a frosh in Toyon the year after I left. A friend was the RA who got to meet Cary Grant and Dyan Cannon as they dropped off their daughter.

I was a frosh in Otero in 79. The upperclassmen told us that McEnroe had lived next door in Rinconada as a frosh. Maybe he just spent all his time there.

A friend of mine has a kid in Arroyo this year. My friend chatted with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill when they dropped off their daughter at Arroyo last fall. My friend, who is not a country music fan, had no idea who they were until afterward . . .

I was told John lived in my dorm room (Madera - rm 101) for his one year. I have no way of knowing if true.Â
