cal played a very weak schedule but are now 9-3. Here's a line on their top recruit
Made her college debut on October 7 against Utah, less than five months after undergoing a liver transplant
This was last season. Still has a problem and isn't playing. Two other good players didn't play with injuries.
One of the OH for cal is Plummer's Beach partner and they were very successful this past summer.Â

On the one hand, wow, and great for her that she returned for action after a liver transplant. On the other, I hope she's ok. Outcomes with liver transplants tend to be good after the immediate post-operative period (it's a pretty gruesome surgery, and patients are sick as excrement going in).
