(This is another copy of a Searboard post)
at 3-0-3.
3-0 win. Amir Bashti got a brace in the 18th and 19th (before I shoed up) and Zach Ryan put the cherry on top in the 69th. I'm told the first half was high tempo and exciting. I got their at about 52:00 and didn't see that. What I did see were perhaps the ugliest jerseys ever on the Delaware Blue Hens - blue and yellow horizontal stripes. Much more interesting than their soccer, though they outshot us, 11 (3 on goal) to 8 (6 on goal).
The men have one more pre-conference season game, Friday at the Q against UoP.
Go Card!
PS They tied their first three matches this year, 0-0, 0-0, and 1-1; they've won the next three, 2-0, 1-0, 3-0. Good direction. And both no losses and no goals given up all year. Their last goal conceded, apart from the goal to Georgetown in game three this year, was last November 2 to UCLA. Defense wins championships!
