Looks like The WSU-Stanford winner gets their next game on ESPN at 10:45 ET and the loser gets theirs on Pac-12 Network at 9PM ET.
Stanford players come from all over the country, mostly where you can't get the Pac-12 Network too easily. So if they want their friends and families to not miss them play two weeks in a row, and hell, probably three weeks in a row given the Beavs are after UW, they better freaking win on Saturday!

November 3 will be a huuuge Saturday for the SEC, Big 12 and Pac 12 plus other semifinal aspirants. Besides Stanford at Washington, other games scheduled to be on tv that evening:
LSU vs. Alabama
West Virginia vs. Texas or Oklahoma vs. Texas Tech
Notre Dame vs. Northwestern
And earlier in the day Michigan plays Penn State.

It is amazing that our two biggest games of the year in determining the winner of the Pac12 North could both be on the Pac 12 network. Has the Pac 12 network ever had a game between two ranked teams with 1st place in the conference on the line like Stanford WSU this week?

Highly doubt it. I'd write to Larry Scott and give him an earful, but not enough Pac-12 fans would follow suit because Pac-12 fans don't have the numbers of passionate fans the other conferences do. It's one of the things that keeps the Pac-12 in the 5th Power 5 slot.
SEC, B1G, ACC, Big 12 are all bigger and better as a result.

That's wonderfully ironic.

Not sure what measure you have in mind.
The Pac 12 is third in revenue (https://www.cheatsheet.com/sports/the-5-...orts.html/),
fourth in attendance (http://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/stats/football_r...e/2017.pdf ),
and second in longish term interconference record (https://www.topdan.com/sports/college-fo...e-records/).

Thanks for the correction Ctcard
As for getting the Pac 12 network I suspect all Stanford parents have computers and the means

I'd much rather we win than lose, but not because of the effect on TV; I just want to win games. If it were just up to TV, I would much rather a 6 pm game than a 7:45 pm game, but that's just me. My son would certainly rather watch the first half of the game than the first few plays.

Is signing up for SlingTV the best way to access Pac12 Network or is there a free streaming option that someone could recommend? My cable TV package doesn't enable me to access through the Pac12Network's website.

I got Sling with the Orange package last season and this. I canceled after the bowls and will do the same this year. It's been better this year for me but that is because my DSL Internet last season was wonky whereas this fall I have cable Internet (only) and I've had no issues. Just remember to keep track of when your billing cycle is so you don't have to pay for up to a full month of unwanted service. I use mine 75% for Stanford games and the rest for other Pac-12 games, nothing else.
