Stanford lost the four games we were negative on turnovers (-1 und, -4 Utah, -1 WSU, -3 UW). In none of those games did we get a takeaway.

It's sure frustrating to think about what our record could've been this year had we just held onto the ball better in some of these games. I know it happens, especially in college, but going to net zero on the final 3 of those likely gives us 3 wins instead of losses. Frustrating.

Yes, I predict something very similar for the game against Cal: if the Bears manage more than one takeaway, we lose.  If they only get one takeaway, we still have a chance to win it.  If we are perfect or actually force them into turnovers, we win.

Cal is dependent on short fields and defense for their scoring.  We just have to make sure we don't give it to them.  UCLA blitzed Cal in Memorial Stadium; and the big difference was 5 Cal turnovers.  Sometimes it's that simple.

ILB’s are another problem especially if Barton transfers home.

Where is the "Barton transferring home" narrative coming from?

TC knows of which he speaks.  Here’s a quote from Shaw about Barton...

Sean's got another year. I know he's going to take a little time at the end of the year. Hopefully, he'll come back and have a chance special here again.

Sounds like coach has his work cut out for him looking for Barton to stay.

That's a bummer. I wish we knew more about this situation. At least to me it seems like it's kinda coming out of nowhere.
