As we all know by now, Tara just won #900 at Stanford, and is well over 1000 overall.  Here are some things to look forward to:

Tara is now 46 wins away from Pat Summit's 1098 wins, and 48 wins away from 1100. 

We have 12 more regular season games this year, up to 3-4 Pac 12 tournament games, and up to 6 NCAA games.  If we finish out this season strong and follow it up with a thirty win season next year, she could break Pat Summit's record next year.  It will be close.  Otherwise, she would probably break the record in Fall 2020 early in the non-conference schedule.  Ohio State's cancellation hurts in this regard, given that they are a lousy team this year and would most likely have been another win.

Geno is only 10 wins behind her and has been slowly making up ground for years.  So this year's and next year's teams need to keep up the pace to pull this off first.

Going back to the griping and groaning of two decades ago. What if Tara hadn't taken that year with the US National Team? Easily another 30 wins to her tally, but also, how many more wins in the late 90s?
