If you're shocked with the fare evasion on Muni, wait till you ride on BART.
LOL. I have to ride BART a couple of times each month. I have never noticed fare evasion, but that's likely because my brain turns to mush once entering a station. The whole experience is so traumatizing all I can only remind myself to breath (not too deeply!) and hold on while I stand there waiting to exit the train and the station and soak myself in Purell. I did, once, get surprised out of my stupor when a group of BART officers came through actually checking riders' tickets or Clipper cards.
The transbay buses are so much more humane. And the ferry is just lovely (wish there were more!).
Seriously considering the biking to the ferry, then biking from the ferry to Chase Center. For sure won't be taking BART.
