I'll try to refrain from saying anything that might come across as any way mean in reference to our dear leader.

Just a great sentence.  You can liken Trump to North Korea's dictator by calling him "dear leader," the phrase that the NK dictator forces upon the NK citizens.  I'll bet no one even notices, and you can have a giggle to yourself by sneaking a political slur onto an apolitical forum.
