I don't understand why there was not two errors on that play. There has to be a second error either on the 1B or C. Maybe someone can explain to me why. Even with the first error, the second run does not score unless there is a second error...

Because there was only one base advanced - third to home.  If the game hadn’t ended maybe they would have given Taylor an error as Phillips reached second.

As a Little League scorekeeper, I've seen plenty of plays like the one that ended game 4. All strictly my opinion, but in a 12-year old game...

Sure, they played the 60. Better than expected.  But now the real season starts. Be great if they could sign Gausman and Smyly.  Or at least one.  But I think it’s doubtful. It will be fascinating to see what Farhan does.  The Giants have plenty of money.  So don’t fall for that.  After next year, of course, they will have money to burn. But I think it’s important to start now.  If the cupboard is bare in 21, they may not be very attractive to FA’s in ‘22. And who knows what the new CBA will bring. 

Is what we saw in the playoffs the future. Starting pitchers, even aces, expected to give no more than 6. Nope.  Willie was playing shallow as always.  Nails Jackson at the plate.  Buster putting on a sweet tag.   SF wins it in bottom of 9th when Bobby leads off with a single to left, steals second. Barry walks and Willie drives one up the right centerfield gap to win it.  You can pick either Willie.....

To me Bobby is the most underrated SF Giant. He was brilliant. Such an incredibly fluid athlete. I loved to watch him. Five tool player. Much better arm than Barry. Unfortunately he obviously had his demons. There’s no other way to explain how a guy who was that great a baseball player was constantly getting traded. And I’ve always felt the enormous chip on Barry’s shoulder was as a result of Bobby’s treatment in baseball. Of course I have no way of actually knowing that. Just playing amateur psychologist. It’s too bad. Barry Bonds could have been the Michael Jordan of baseball. He had everything.

The Giants may have the richest ownership group in all of sports, let alone MLB.  They went after Stanton and Harper, remember. 

Bauer is the kind of guy worth the extra years because he is such a fierce competitor who has a relentless drive to be his best and challenge conventional thinking to do it. He's got the intensity of a Verlander or Scherzer or Bumgarner.

I don't know who the Giants would or could trade for Snell, but here's what I do know. They have two potentially legit starters in the minors in Hjelle and Corry. Trevor Bauer would stabilize the rotation for 5-7 seasons. He'd be the best FA Pitcher the Giants have ever signed, superior to Barry Zito and Johnny Cueto.

The Giants may have the richest ownership group in all of sports, let alone MLB.  They went after Stanton and Harper, remember. 

Bauer is the kind of guy worth the extra years because he is such a fierce competitor who has a relentless drive to be his best and challenge conventional thinking to do it. He's got the intensity of a Verlander or Scherzer or Bumgarner.
