I signed up for Rivals to satisfy my curiosity. My takeaway: it is largely incorrect to blame the coach in this case. I mean if you want to get very abstract and philosophical you could conclude Haase deserves some small fraction of the blame. But this is basically on some of the players. Couching it as "team cohesion" and not saying anything until after the game is a really poor way to handle it. It's unclear and just leads to confusion and speculation. It's not like he was trying to do some kind of head fake on the opposing coach that they might be available - they weren't dressed to play.
Haase has coached more than long enough to know better than to handle it the way he has.
I'm not sure I agree with the 90/10 split but whatever that second number is, the problem is that it has come mainly in February & March in each of the last three seasons (including this one).

Sorry if my comment was confusing. I was only commenting that the majority of poor play has come at the tail end of each of the last three seasons, not that there were "team cohesion" issues in each of the last three seasons - whatever the @$%^ that means.

Not sure where to throw this one, but since this is the most recent MBB thread, and there was some Ziaire draft position talk, there's a new article in The Athletic that has a blurb about Ziaire's diminished draft fortunes.

I think the transfer portal is the least probable outcome. It is a crap shoot that his "next" school will result in a "better" outcome and at best it will cost him a years pay in the NBA. If things don't go well at his "next" school it most probably WOULD affect his draft status in a very negative way. Once is a fluke. Twice is a trend. If he believed things would be lots better for him at Stanford next year (no da Silva, maybe he is the "focus") staying could make some sense, but given that is not what he expects, going pro is the only real option.
