I think he should resign while he still has some credibility, so he can retain his many positions of honor within the football world, and the income that comes with it.  Otherwise, he is on course to become a volunteer coach for the women's golf team, and go largely unnoticed at his own football tailgate parties. He would not be the first.  Even Seinfeld had the good sense to know when his show had peaked and run its course.  Leave with your head held high.  It was an historic and great run, but it's soooooo over and no one seems to have the heart to tell him.  Aaawkk-ward....

As for last night, that was one of the worst-coached games I've seen from Stanford in my 52 seasons of watching.  It was on par with the 2005 UC Davis loss in terms of poor preparation, poor execution, no scheme, bad play-calling, utterly lost and confused on defense, personnel selection (don't get me started) and most-notably, a sense of complete indifference/apathy on the field, sidelines, and stadium.  If it weren't for Kyu Blu Kelly playing his heart out every down, it would have been the single worst game I've seen.  As it was, probably the second worst.  Or at least that's how it feels the morning after....

Maybe Arrillaga could have a word with someone.

Well, if so, maybe it's time to carpet the tunnel the players use.  Hard cleats on hard concrete have caused more than one player to go down, and last night appeared to cause a concerning injury to EJ.
