I saw an interview of the three conference commissioners on ACC network.  This seemed to be three of the main points.

Need for an independent agency (NCAA) moving forward to enforce rules on all participating colleges.

Need for continued academic requirements (i.e. no accepting high school dropouts for sports teams).

To prevent poaching of schools from one conference to another.


Without a legal, written contract it comes down to staying committed to a verbal agreement.    It will be interesting to see how long it lasts.

It's early but I've been impressed so far.
I like that he's the one commonly quoted out of the group and seems to be driving and leading. Whether it's in the right direction remains to be seen, but he seems to to have gained credibility with the key conferences, which bodes well for the PAC.
The selection of a media savvy commish may have been  inspired.

In the Pac-12 that includes Colorado and Utah, In the Big-10 Iowa, and in the ACC South Carolina

Years ago, I was told that common law marriage in Colorado has a "one night is enough" principle -- that is, if both parties intend to be married and hold themselves out as married, then one night of co-habitation is enough to seal the deal.

This was relevant to me because the pastor who performed our wedding ceremony in California forgot to pronounce us husband and wife. We figured that if there was any doubt about whether we were really married, it was resolved after our first night together as Colorado residents. :-)
