it is probably marginally better than the following week with a 7:30pm PT Friday kick-off vs Utah....

Friday's always suck, and it is the worst part of the "scheduling football games to maximize TV revenue". The earlier you make it, the harder it is to get to the game due to traffic and people getting out of work. The later you make it, the later it ends. At least with Utah the outcome may well be decided at a reasonable hour. Regardless, east of the Rockies, only insomniacs looking for something to put them to sleep will be watching.

Bad thing: Hurts home attendance. However the U cares more about TV exposure than its fan base.
Good thing: Recruits back East won't be watching a potential wretched performance. They will be doing fun things late on Saturday night.
The Pac 12 sucks in so many ways.
