Men's golf is the #3 seed for the regional at the Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton, May 16-18. So not too far to travel, and not a very strong regional either:

#4 Arizona State
#9 Washington
$16 Stanford
#21 LSU
Oregon, Nevada, Liberty, Brigham Young, UAB, Houston, UC Davis, Denver, Abilene Christian and Weber State

I think it would be a major program failure to not make it out of regionals.

I think we can assume that the big 3 will keep us in the hunt.  Big question is whether we can get another decent score from the remaining two.  In 2018 we always seemed to have a guy down the ladder step up.  Needs to happen this year too.

I expect Shimp + Ng or Yang, with the other being the alternate and Coach Ray having an itchy trigger finger with the alternate

For historical perspective, I wanted to know about Stanford's success since the NCAA changed the championship format in 2009. In the 12 seasons that were completed since then, Stanford has advanced out of regionals 9 times. A good record. Let's hope they make it 10 out of 13.

Btw, this will be a very competitive regional. Aside from the P12 teams, keep an eye on Liberty and UAB. Both made the NCAA championship last year.

I'm not up-to-speed on the NCAA regional format.  How many teams will advance?  Does this also serve as the qualifier for individual championship?
