Gotta see it to believe it. Raiders - Pats.  Myers and Stevenson will bear the brunt.  Only thing I can think of is one or both forgot they were tied.

But it stars with Pashricha.  Only call was a kneel down. On your own 40. 3 seconds. Tied. Mac Jones can’t wing it 65-70.  So, no Hail Mary.  Get to OT.  Absolutely no reason to run the ball.  Only bad things can happen.

My Patriots fan friends texted "the dumbest play in football history."

My reply:

"Wrong Way Reigels 1929 Rose Bowl enters the chat."

Not close. Plus in NFL it was Marshall.  Just got turned around.

Good, then maybe people will leave Griff alone! (And it turns out that he wasn’t informed that it was just trying to draw them offsides and the ball was never supposed to be snapped )

I happened on a YouTube video from Pat McAfee where he talks more about the idea of the play and what happened. The original idea was to snap the ball if the defense got fooled into having more than 11 men on the field or the like. The playbook didn't say anything about the last minute additional idea of a hard count to draw the defense offside. The playbook said to snap the ball if the "QB" signaled it by putting his hand's on the center's butt in position to receive it. Whalen was never told about the change. So he snapped it.
