His talent (when healthy) is phenomenal and I expect he'll later play in the NFL.
But with our tight roster squeeze I'm not surprised he's leaving.
Hope he's gonna be back to full health and has a great next season.... just not with Cal please! (or any current ACC or former Pac if I could be so bold)

Sophomore walk-on RB Jacob Lowe also in the portal.
Also, just found out that Drake Metcalf is transferrig again, from UCF to Virginia, where he will be reunited with Terry Heffernan.

Everything so much in flux, I may be wrong, but isn't Lowe's announcement such that if we only get the returning Seniors/Grads that have announced their return, and don't get any new transfers in, and don't lose any more recruits, we are now exactly (but likely only temporarily) in perfect max scholarships balance?

I believe we now have 93 on scholarship today for the 2024 season. So more will be leaving. LOI date is weds

a few recruits here, a few returning Seniors there, and pretty soon you're talking about a lot of scholarships
