LOL I do remember I was home that day in '58.  Heaven only knows why. I'm pretty sure I had all the baseball cards for the opening lineup.

Transistor radio didn't play a role for me until the '62 Series.  Everyone was tuned in except for the class nerd who was listening to Wally Schirra's orbital mission.  Our HS PE coaches let us watch on an old B&W TV in the gym instead of doing jumping jacks and running laps.

By the time the A's got good I had already graduated from LSJU.

Interesting info. It's nice to see Stanford near the top of the list. I like seeing Stanford ahead of UCLA, Cal, and Oregon.

It looks like the only former Pac 12 schools that have never appeared in the Rose Bowl are Arizona and Colorado.

I know the Iowa tradition of waving towards the Children’s Hospital (overlooking the stadium) at the end of the First Quarter is only at home games.  However, at the Music City Bowl in Nashville their fans, players and coaches all turned around to wave at the end of 1Q. As you said, one of the best traditions in the college football.
