For the first time ever, Mississippi State is in the WCWS. For the first time since 2018 (exception for 2020, of course), Oklahoma will not play in the championship game, and for the first time since 2015, a team from the state of Oklahoma will not play in the WCWS.

Agreed. Oklahoma was the #3 overall seed and Mississippi State was somewhere below #16, as they won the Eugene regional hosted by #14 Oregon. 4250 fans, the most in college softball outside of Oklahoma City, saw MSU win today's deciding game by a score of 6-0.

The box score showed pitching stats for Canady's and the other pitcher's first appearances and then the third pitcher listed was TEAM. They sorted it out at the end of the game. Definitely a statistician's nightmare, as inherited runners were scoring early and often.

Florida fans seem to be upset about it on social media.  Calling it a "bitch move" and what not.  I'm not sure why because neither Canady nor Terry was particularly good in that game.  They combined to give up 7 earned runs in 5 innings.  Florida's pitchers were abysmal which is why they got run ruled.
