I was surprised she won. If I had a vote I would have cast it for Jenny Levy at UNC. I'm not sure there were any other good candidates this season.
The team this year is heavily seniors, 5th years, redshirt juniors and a grad transfer. They lose a lot. I think it will be tough to repeat this year's success next year.
I have also heard rumors that the coach has been looking for a new position for quite some time. Maybe she leverages this season and the accolades into a different job.
