Very nice get. Recruited as a TE, but would probably be very good as an OLB if it became necessary. Four-star to ESPN, high-three star to everyone else. Offers from basically every relevant Pac-12 school (minus SC), plus Northwestern, N.D. and Boise State.

Any relation to Greg Hooper?  He was my class (83) and was on the football team.

As Harbaugh noted when recruiting the Ertz, Toilolo, Hewitt, Najvar group: one can never get enough big, strong, fast football players.

Congrats Austin!

Remember when people scoffed that we would become Tight End U -- and then we became Tight End U?
