Man, they let Sabrina get away with so much. She gains a brobdingnagian advantage with the way she carries the ball. She also pushes off the defender constantly. I hate complaining about the refs, but sheesh, these refs are awful.

We are fouling and missing shots. That’s the problem

So hard to watch as a Stanford fan. So little development with Belibi, Prechtel and Jump. And then there is Jones. Has anyone heard whether Jones is likely to play next year?

I thought stanford fouls were pretty obvious
We need offense and I think prechtel is a better option than maya or fran

Fingall gets the o-board but instead of going up strong and either getting a layup or foul she throws the ball out and creates a live ball turnover. Sigh

Hopefully if we can get a lot of the top prospects in the Class of 2021, we can be like Oregon (and we were back in the late 2000s/early 2010s) in about 2-3 years.

They're just better. Third time this season we just can't hang. Would have loved to see them face each other with both teams 100% healthy

What was that about Ducks turtling?
Doesn’t look like it to me. Looks more like Geno is coaching them this evening...

Just returned home to tune in to this debacle. Is there any reason for me to watch the replay?

I hope they hang these results in the locker room and use it as motivation to improve, so that these scorelines will be flipped one day soon.

It will be very tough. I suggest bringing your favorite snack, but in all seriousness, even though it was a disaster, I always enjoy your analysis and thoughts.

They were yelling about fouls they thought should have been called on Arizona and were not, felt that fouls on Oregon were unfair, and so on. From their POV, it was all unfair for Oregon. All a matter of perspective??? I'm not enough of an expert to judge objectively, but I suspect that few fans really are. We're focused on our own team.
Here is my theory. The fans are usually right. Officiating is so inexact that there are always plenty of really bad calls on both sides. And it is the job of fans to point out all the bad calls on their team and ignore all the bad calls on the other team.
In MBB game vs ducks, DaSilva makes what appears to be a three and a three is called on the floor. Refs decide though that they want to take a look. They review and from angle straight on, it looks like Oscar's toes are on the line, they reverse the call and call it a two. Moments later, tv shows another, better angle from the side that absolutely shows Oscar's foot behind the line and he should have gotten credited for a three.
With the benefit of review and a replay available that was clear, how do the refs make that call? is it incompetence or bias/corruption? I have no idea, but I do think officiating is crap. The only thing that fixes it is change the rules or drastically reduce them so refs are irrelevant.

Isn't in Stanford's DNA but I would hope that the team is angry enough that they make it a goal to beat Oregon all next year - and bury them by 30+ each time, rub it in like their coach did to us. Overall, I'm fed up with Oregon, their fans, Phil Knight money, transfers - anything to win in football, MBB, and WBB. I wish Stanford would make it a point to knock Oregon of its perch and an also ran.

Ridiculous. I wouldn't have been upset if one or more of their starters got injured then to mess up their NCAA tourney chances for that running up the score effort.

We did not play well except when Williams was hot early. Oregon was hot shooting too. When even Moore is killing it from outside, who can stop them? Oregon is an amazing collection of talent, Ionescu is fantastic, and I hope they crash and burn in the NCAAs because their coach is kinda an ass. 4 or 5 starters in up 40ish with little time left? Screw you, coach. No reason to do that. I think he wanted to make the score as bad as he could. I will root for Ionescu, Sabally, etc. when they hit the WNBA, but until then nope.

They lose Ionescu, Hebard and Sabally after this season. They have a very deep incoming class coming in with five Top-35 recruits, led by #10 ranked Sydney Parrish. Will they be South Carolina and gel quickly and pick up where Ionescu and co. left off or will they be more like us and take a while to get going?
We lose Fingall and Brewer for sure and Wilson and Carrington's futures are unknown at this time. Presumably, only one of them will come back. We get Brink, the #3 recruit, van Gytenbeek and Nnopu. Hopefully Brink will be collegiate-ready and contribute majorly like Jones did this year. We need more players who can create their own shot and not have Kiana do it all the times. Tara really needs to adjust our offense, IMO. Too many teams know our plays and a lot of times, that results in needing someone who can create something out of nothing when the shot clock winds down. Plus, cutting down on silly unforced turnovers will be nice too.

That's the risk. If that's what Graves wants to do, let him do it, but they risk injury to their key players when the game has already been decided. I am not as annoyed with that as other people. I'm not advocating leaving our starters in when we're up big, but if we send in our bench players and they expand the lead, there shouldn't be anything wrong with that.
