Starters back in to start the 2nd Q.
Jerome had a good 5 minutes in the 1st Q with an assist and hitting 2 FTs.
Adams is playing like a thug. She drew that 2nd foul on Brink by throwing an elbow.
19 fouls were called in the 1st half.

We lead 36-27 at the half, it seems like neither team did not have great offensive flow as points seemed to have mostly been generated one on one.
Foul trouble for both teams was a theme of the first half. For us, Brink and both Hull sisters have two fouls each. Oregon State's tally included two each for Brown, TVO and Mack and three on Adams.
We are shooting 46% from the field and Lexie is our only double digit scorer so far with 12; no one is really jumping off offense-wise as we've already seen twelve players on the court.
For the Beavers, they are shooting 43%, which isn't bad, but they are 0/4 from long range. The difference in the game is that we are 9/12 from the FT line and they are 1/1

Stanford +3 rebouns, 2 fewer turnovers. Some good, bug also sloppy. Jones not in sync.

No whining about the refs so far. We are 9-12; they are 1-1
Terrible no call on Hull.

It seems the strategy against Brink is to bully her and hope she pushes back and picks up the foul.

She definitely doesn't get much leeway.

We lead 60-49 after three quarters. For me, this game so far has underscored our incredible depth. We've continued to chug along even though Brink has played sparingly and four of our five starters have three fouls each. Thirteen players have seen action so far and they have contributed in each their own way.
With Brink on the bench, Iriafen and Belibi have taken on the interior scoring duties. With the Hull sisters forced to sit because of foul trouble, Jump, JVG and Hamilton have seen time during critical minutes to keep Oregon State from making a run.

Keep fighting Stanford!
Jump blows it open!
Suddenly we're up 20.
Pretty disappointing game for Brink.

Jones gets her double double, and Lexie is pushing 20 pts.
Lead is 25 as we close the door hard in the fourth quarter.

TEAM. A TEAM win. 12 Stanford players played in the first half. 13 by the 3rd qtr. just wore down the Beavers.

Yes, disappointing game for Brink, but with this team, we can afford one of our “stars” being quiet. Brink only had a five points and two rebounds, but Belibi and Iriafen combined for 13 points and 13 boards so we got good production out of our posts overall.
And today Lexie was our big scorer.

It’s a wrap. 87-63 was the final.
We’ve clinched the PAC-12 championship unless one of the teams behind us schedules a missed game.

Yay, champions. OSU IS good. A great win for the card. Game was a lot tougher and closer than final score suggests.

This game sure did feel closer than the score indicates. OSU played aggressively, but were deeper and more talented. We have warriors on this team.

We win 87-63 as what seemed like a close affair for most of the game turned out to be a comfortable win by the end. We had our highest point total in a quarter - scoring 27 to put the Beavers away
Lexie led all scorers with 21 points joined by Jones' and Jump's 13 each. Twelve of the fifteen players who saw action scored for us. We won comfortably despite one of our best players Brink playing sparingly because of foul issues. Even though she just had three fouls, I don't think Tara put her in at all in the fourth and we didn't skipped a beat.
Two Jump 3s and a steal leading to a Wilson layup really put away the game for us IMO. With just eight minutes to play in the fourth quarter, the Beavers had cut the lead down to nine after a Corosdale bucket, but then Jump hit a timely three and Oregon State turned the ball over in quick succession and we capitalized on it with five points, as we expanded the lead to 17 and never looked back.
Iriafen and Belibi gave us valuable interior offense when Brink was on the bench and Jones really came through with some clutch baskets, including a rare three when Oregon State was making a run in the third quarter.
We went to the FT line 23 times and made 15 of them; not terrible, but I am sure Tara would love us to convert a few more of them.
Defensively, TVO had 16 points on 7/13 shooting, so not a bad day for her. She didn't go off for 30 points but it wasn't terrible production. As a team, the Beavers shot 40% from the field, which again was not terrible. Corosdale had 11 points as their only other double digit scorer. Their offense was mediocre tonight and that was enough when our offense and depth pulled us through and 15 OSU turnovers helped our cause.

I was wrong. Last year, after Charisma Osborne had one of her fantastic games, I questioned why we didn't pursue her harder rather than Jump. To be clear, I don't know all the ins and outs of Osborne's recruitment, but she was playing a great pg position for ucla at the time, and Kiana was struggling. Anyway, I was wrong. Jump is soooo important to this great team. Again tonight, when the game got a little close late, boom and boom. She's a drop dead assassin (in the best meaning of the word), and has worked hard to play a credible defense. All credit to her.
