In our last road trip of the regular season we head to Oregon State and Oregon.
We defeated Oregon State at home 82-59 just over a week ago. The write-up is here:

In that game OSU led 22-25 after the first quarter, but then we buckled down for the final three quarters.
Since our game Oregon State lost a competitive game at home to Oregon, but then went to Eugene and defeated the Ducks 68-62. TVO caught fire for 23 points, including going 3/3 from three point range and 6/6 from the free throw line. Transfer Ellie Mack had a great game, and in the absence of injured Tailor Jones, 6'9" Jelena Mitrovic had 10 points.
For some time I have been eying this trip to the Evergreen State Beaver State as a major challenge but I assumed that playing at Oregon would be the toughest Pac 12 game we would play this year. Now it seem that Oregon State is improving just in time to give us a major challenge--the first of two for the trip.
Oregon State is 49 in the net (Oregon is 11); Oregon State is 34 by Massey (Oregon is 16.) Oregon State is currently 8th in the Pac 12, meaning they would be in line to play us in the Pac 12 tournament in the second round if all seedings held. Charlie Creme has them as "the last team in" the NCAA tournament, so they will be highly motivated to get a signature win--in fact any win--to burnish their credentials.
Last time, OSU actually outscored us in 2 of the 4 quarters. The game was won with lock-down defense in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. However, something was wrong with TVO in that game--she played only 14 minutes and took only 5 shots. We should expect her to be back and playing at full strength after what she just did to Oregon. Furthermore, Rueck had a very short week to prepare, while this time he has had oodles of time to scheme--and scheme is what he does best. For these reasons I expect that the coming game will probably be quite different from the last--but hopefully not the results.
Not sure if it will be Wilson or a Hull defending TVO, but keeping her under control while also making it hard on Mack and Kennedy Brown will determine the game.
