Well, we have the lead by one point with 20 seconds to go. UNC has the ball, so we'll see what happens.

BLAKES FOR TWO!!! Mid-range step back jumper...very nice from the Duke transfer who always wants to beat UNC.
Up one with one second left! Officials make it 1.5 sec left.

We got one point from the bench, but that was enough to make the difference.
Reynard with 25 pts 13 boards; Blake’s with 20 pts and 7 assists, including the winning shot (and two critical free throws right before that).
Glad they were shoring the game at my barbershop.

Congratulations to Coach Kyle Smith and his crew! It certainly helps to have a talented PG who can create a shot for himself within 10 feet and then hit it. Well done, Jaylen Blakes!

Raynaud articulates English better than most American athletes, at any level.

In the 2nd half, a combined 10 minutes of game time from just two players, Gealer and Cammann. Not sustainable over multiple games.
OTOH, with Agarwal's improved play and Young's emergence--tho he was hobbling today at one point--the team's starting five *may* be set for the rest of the year. We shall see.

I truly wish we could bring Blakes back for one more year! Some of our guys who left may be starting to wish they had stayed. The way we have been playing good teams pretty tough on the road, I kept hoping Smith would get over the top and win one, and such a one to win. Our recruits have to be impressed with how Smith's teams play and with a good NIL package good things can happen. Unlike football, Stanford Basketball can be viewed as a step up by future guys like Blakes and Sellers. 20 wins no longer seems impossible. A good series of home games coming up and we have to take care of business. Hopefully this game might end up with us having a good and noisy crowd down the road. I am looking forward to the final stats. Obviously Blakes had a stellar game and we shot lights out at the FT line.
On another tangent, UNC has always had a special place in my mind. My great greatgrandfather was a Freshman at UNC when the Civil War broke out, his entire class joined the Confederate Army. Many years later UNC awarded all surviving members of that class an honorary degree.

Great Point! If you want to watch a well coached team Smith is giving us an opportunity. The AD needs to be thinking a big raise might be appropriate come end of season.
