Another former LSJU TE, Ben Yurosek, had his first NFL reception tonight on TNF for the Vikings at SoFi stadium.

I see that the Stanford Daily has a very nice weekly summary of all the LSJU alums' feats in the NFL! Looks like even Ethan Bonner got some snaps, for the Dolphins.

Christian McCaffrey had himself a pretty good day.
28 carries for 106 yards with 1 TD rushing (3.8 ypc)
5 catches for 67 yards with 1 receiving TD
173 scrimmage yards
Brock who? Jones went 19/24 for 235 yards (9.8 ypa) with 2 TD and 1 INT. Niners win.
Rough day for Karty so far, with a 39 yard FG miss, and a missed XP.

QB CJ Stroud (HOU) entered the concussion protocol today, and if he doesn't recover in time for next week's game, Davis Mills will be the Texans' starting QB.

McCaffrey had a so-so day today in a loss against the Rams. He only had 30 yards rushing, but had 8 catches for 66 yards.
On the other side, Parkinson had 4 catches for 41 yards.

Mills had a serviceable day in a win against Jacksonville. 27/45 (60%), for 292 yards (6.5 spa), 2 touchdowns and 1 INT. Most importantly, he led a 19 point second half comeback.
Quote:With starting quarterback C.J. Stroud sidelined with a concussion, Houston overcame a 19-point deficit in the second half to defeat the Jacksonville Jaguars, 36-29. Mills had three fourth quarter touchdowns, capped by a 14-yard scoring run with 31 seconds left.

One of those TDs from Mills was to Dalton Schultz.
RE: Stanford in the NFL -

It was arguably Mills' best game as a pro. His passing yardage (292) was among his top 10 performances in the NFL, plus he threw the TD to Schultz and another passing TD, and the clutch late rushing TD (where NFL Next Gen stats says he reached a top speed of over 19 mph!), plus the improbable comeback circumstances with his team down three scores in the second half. Nice going for Mills!
Parkinson caught a TD vs the sinking fast 49ers. Remember when the Maples floor was replaced years ago after years of injuries to MBB players? I wonder if there's something awry at the 49ers practice field that is contributing to all the knee, hamstring, achilles and foot/ankle injuries the past few years.

Austin Hooper is in the concussion protocol, which means he's unlikely to play in the Pats' Thursday Night Football game against the Jets. It seems like he was diagnosed after Sunday's game.

Michael Wilson having a great day for the Cardinals. Unfortunately for Arizona, they’ve got about 100 yards in penalties halfway through the third quarter.
RE: Stanford in the NFL -

Wilson with career highs of 15 receptions and 185 yards! By my unofficial research, it is the most single game receiving yards for any player in the NFL all season.
Karty made the cover of the December issue of Sports Illustrated . . . for a blocked kick.

CMac 13 carries, 81 yards, 2 rushing touchdowns; 5 receptions, 40 yards, 1 receiving touchdown. I don't play fantasy football, but I would think that's a pretty good line.

I watched some Vikings-Bears, and thought Drew Dalman played well. obviously centers don't get stats like receivers, etc.; one key play was 3rd (or 4th) and 1, and they went right behind him for 3.

Former Stanford LB Curtis Robinson led the 49ers with 12 tackles yesterday, 5 unassisted. It was actually better than it sounds, he took over for Tatum Bethune, who left the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury. Not bad for a guy with an ACL injury 14 months ago. Robinson and the 49er defense limited Cardinal rushing to 36 yards and a 2.6 ypc average. Which is good because the 49ers had a tough time defending the pass, as Cardinal QB Brissett set an NFL record for pass completions with 47.
In his fifth NFL season, Robinson is having quite a year. He just played in his 11th game...his previous high was six, in 2021, his rookie season, and he's played three games in each of the three seasons in between. He now has 36 career tackles, 1/3rd of which happened yesterday.

Bravo Curtis Robinson.
Davis Mills threw for 274 yards, 1 TD and the Texans won again.
Parkinson caught another TD yesterday, second of the season and 7th of his career.

Quote:A graphic had just flashed onto the screen that detailed McCaffrey’s statistical accomplishments this season, and had him dressed up in a lab coat in front of chalkboards. This prompted Lisa to say, “You know he's a college dropout, right?” (McCaffrey and her husband, former Denver Broncos receiver Ed, met at Stanford, where Christian attended for only three years.)

Ertz had 10 receptions for over 100 yards. Against the vaunted Denver defense!
CMac another TD for the rejuvenated 49ers.
For the Rams, Parkinson's three-game TD streak ended. Karty was waived and then re-signed to their practice squad.
The NY Giants defense was on the field for 10 possessions on MNF and Adebo ended up with 10 tackles and Okereke had 7.
Kyu B. Kelly had his 3rd INT of the season. And Justin Reid scored on a pick-six, the previous weekend.

Curtis Robinson started at MIKE LB, had six tackles and two missed tackles. Overal PFF grade of 58.1.
