It was pretty quiet on here while our offense was humming. One bad series and all hell breaks loose. Seems like some are just waiting in the wings for Shaw to slip up.

There's really no excuse for what we saw on that last offensive series. It was horrific and completely avoidable. Shaw doesn't need to substitute QBs in a special package to run it in, with two good backs available.

Our D has been lackluster at best so far and they weren't a max readiness for that QB sneak on D4. BAD!!!

Mark my words, Vandy is more patient, more disciplined, and I believe could well win this game, whereas I suspect we expected a walkover. They could wear us down with those long drives. Our last failed drive was a critical rurning point in this game. We let them drive 98 yards, PATHETIC! Our line was exposed being unable to push ahead for the last 2 yards and a TD. Poor work against a mediocre vandy team. But we are looking quite mediocre.

Of all the things to pick on you chose the fourth down play we stopped at the point of attack (he got it because he was pushed by his running back). How about being completely unready for a running play on second and 19? Or letting the WB hit a wide open receiver on the third down play just short of the sticks that made that fourth down play possible? Or Williamson being two steps short on the touchdown pass? Or our inability to generate much pressure on a lousy Vandy offensive line that had to replace four of its linemen?

Going for it was the right play. But if you are going to go for it by running it up the middle, you better get your offensive line to give you a push, which it didn’t.
