And we are on the board! No shutout tonight.

RE: STANFORD VS UW GAME THREAD - old spanish trail - 09-24-2022

Ditch the slow RPO. We surprised SC with it, but with two OL out, McKee doesn't have any time after the mesh to do anything. It's not suited for what we have on the field.

And, we don't need it with our receivers, who can beat their defenders.

Oh, cripes. Now they are stepping on his foot.

RE: STANFORD VS UW GAME THREAD - winflop - 09-24-2022

Mercifully the half ends. We are lucky to only be down 10. They suck on both sides of the ball tonight, and this is after a bye week

Exactly. Shaw was so taken with it, I doubt he gives it up. It will be a good test. I am definitely leaning toward joining the naysayers. Not sure if that's my problem or Shaw's.

RE: STANFORD VS UW GAME THREAD - CardinalSagehen - 09-24-2022

We are down both of our starting tackles. As compared to the OL that we expected going into the season (including Bragg), we only have two of our five starting linemen.  I don't think we'd be protecting McKee well enough anyway, but it's a big problem in this game and going forward.

Anyone see what happened to Rouse in the first quarter?  All I saw was him pointing to his right shoulder area.

Also waiting to see whether McKee comes out in the second half.  He was wincing pretty badly and three guys converged on his helmet.  I think he will be fine, but with our luck, you never know....

I only saw him point to his shoulder also.

But all I heard pre-season was how we were two-deep with quality at OL. I guess that was a bunch of bulls***

The SlowPO is our new wildcat

Targeting. Ugh. Sure looked like it to me. Especially on replay. We dodged a bullet.

Nonsense. Incidental helmet contact.

RE: STANFORD VS UW GAME THREAD - MV72018 - 09-24-2022

This is a predictably pathetic show by the Shaw offense. Another 3 and out. Enough to make one vomit!

RE: STANFORD VS UW GAME THREAD - thunder_chik - 09-24-2022

Toggling between our game and the Beavs.  With 1:13 to play, Toejams take the lead 17-14.  Unfortunate.

U$C has finally found their offense in the 4th quarter. Pity.

I picked UW 45, SU 24. Looks like I was too optimistic about SU's offense!

What a disaster, to be followed by another one next week, then ND!!!

Game is turning into the blowout we all hoped wouldn't happen but feared it might.

We just don't have the talent or the coaching -- OBVIOUSLY!
