Enjoying the game so far
Keep grinding, like someone else said
On the 1Q Syracuse fumble near their 20, how on earth did we not recover?

Dare I say we might be seeing the return of Party in the Backfield

Time for a pick 6.

I can't think of a worse mistake a defense can make.

We were easily the better team that half
Left points in the field and gifted them 10 points with two costly mistakes
Potential showed though, stay strong

Looking at those stats, Syracuse should feel pretty good that they only trail by 3.

One play in which Manly fell down in coverage does not indicate that the defense has collapsed. Our defense is still dominating the Orange offense.

The good news is that Stanford has the lead and has shown a fairly consistent ability to get pressure on McCord. Syracuse will either try more QB roll outs or hand off more to their running backs, which would give us all a chance to see just how much Stanford's run defense has improved. It is a little shocking to see Syracuse running backs with six carries for 14 yards. I'm very confident that if Stanford holds them to under 50 yards for the game, Stanford will get the victory.
Stanford on offense should be facing a somewhat worn down Syracuse after really dominating the time of possession (18:53 to 11:07). I'm skeptical that handing off to Davis is going to be how Stanford wins the game, but I would definitely like to see Ford and maybe Irvin involved a bit in the pass game (I know their pass blocking is important, too). I think most of the big plays on offense, if they are to be made, will be made by Daniels running or Ayomanor, so I'd prefer to see those guys having their number called rather than Daniels handing off to the running backs. Not sure if TT sees it the same way, however, and I posted previously that Daniels can take only so many shots as a runner. Tough decisions to be made as the game likely comes down to one or two plays in the fourth quarter.

Daniels has to be able to push the ball down the field. I see a repeat of the TCU game with the defense getting worn out if Daniels
can only complete three passes for positive yards in the final 7 minutes of the half.

Cuse has to punt on their first possession in the 3rd Q.
Ballsy!! Lampson for the first down.
PICK 6!!!

Ok. My bad Marty. In all seriousness, worst play McCord has made tonight, and the Stanford defense capitalizes. We do really need more from Daniels though. Everyone around him is stepping up, but 2 picks and 112 yards passing is not enough.

I'd trade McCord for Daniels if that was possible. But it's not. We play with what we have and try to win. Our D is doing a great job against McCord. Hopefully Daniels will do enough for us to win.

Cuse came in overconfident, and got jumped on.
