I don't care for either Clardy or Platz. Both are boring and lacxking in insight. Clardy is too much of a Mr. Goody Two Shoes for me.
Platz shows zero personality.
Bill King would have had difficulty making this game sounded interesting.
But Bill would have made some clever or funny comments to make it bearable.
Yeah, he was incredible.

So now you see how a team plays without it starters.
Just like Stanford is playing without their starters who transferred out this year.

Whether by dumb false start or by their D partying in our backfield
Especially in recollection of earlier Shaw years of intellectual brutality when our OLine was good for a yard or two even if the D knew it coming and stacked the box

Looking at the rest of the schedule, I see the next two games as competitive with Sac St and Arizona but after that we’re going to need some massive improvements.
We’ll likely be underdogs in every game after that point.

I’m becoming worried about this offensive system at work. It’s obvious we’re lacking talent at WR but we have talent at RB but none of our RBs seem to have the flexibility to really shine in this system. Without a star WR and QB feels like we’ll struggle.

Difficult to get enough numbers to do a field show, but the band has sent a smaller group to play at September away games in the past… Northwestern ‘94, Utah ‘95, etc. I heard the current band didn’t even really have enough people sticking around over the summer to have rehearsals, so they probably need to work on getting more members before considering stuff like this again.

FWIW, not having the LSJUMB at the game spared us from the "watch how cool it is to switch between organized and scatter band" USC Marching Band show that we're normally subjected to. Instead we got a drone light show that I found pretty amazing from a technology standpoint. That and the insane F-22 flyover at the end of the national anthem were the only highlights in what was otherwise a night I'm eager to forget.
