FloHoops audio started eventually.
Maryland looks awful, to where it's hard to tell how much Stanford has improved. We're making some pretty plays, though!

Likely 2 players will have double-double today. Can Cam make it 3?

And she promptly misses a 3.
Jump has made 6 today . . . so far.

FINAL
Wow
Halftime.
Could have sworn it said Final. But halftime makes much more sense. Thanks for the correction.

JVG sighting. Unfortunately she misses a quick 3, then throws a pass too high and hard for a turnover.
Tara is letting her stay in and play through it though. Great to get her the experience.

This has turned into an incredibly impressive performance by the Cardinal. Tara deserves kudos for managing the game very well, with limited personnel available. Good to see Jones come alive.

Maryland's roster is so depleted you can't help but wondering how meaningful (to use a favorite Cardboard term) this win will be.
But hey, we'll take it nevertheless.

This is still a big time win. We've looked really solid and happy to see Jana getting some minutes. The subbing today has been better. Great job coaches and players for responding after a tough one yesterday.

75-48 lead at the end of 3.
Jump with 7 threes.
Lexie is back. She has 15 points and 8 rebounds.

The only concern I have even as we are blowing MD out of the "gym," is that I am not sure we have any guard or forward on the team who can take it to the hoop in resolute fashion AND FINISH. While we're having a fine day shooting the threeball, thanks mostly to you know who, when an elite opponent brings tight perimeter D, the only way to break that down is either to get passes into the center down low or take it to the hoop AND FINISH. When we get into the Dance, we;re going to run into an elite D or two, such as what South Florida played, and the hopes will rest on three balls or entry passes dpwn low. If we have a bad day with the threeball, then driving and dishing will be critical to our chances of advancing. If we have no one who can drive hard to the hoop, then we'll live or die by the threeball, which is risky.

Jana and Hamilton have been less than stellar running the point. Hamilton struggling to just get across half court.

We established in the Indiana game that we can score in the paint. Brink had historic numbers in that game. It seems clear to me that Tara decided to see how we could do without our bigs being the focus. Brink barely played in the first half and only has single digit minutes in the game. The fact that we have done so well without Cam's points in the paint is a great sign.
Also, we are shooting 76.5% from the free throw line. That is a huuuge improvement.

I know FloHoops has been erratic, but I have to wonder what game you were watching.
As I type this, Stanford has 38 points in the paint. Those haven't been Brink posting up.

Agree with everything you wrote, but we have not established this team has anyone who can take it to the hoop resolutely and finish.

Keep an eye on Bosgana. She can finish!
