Yeah, I'm starting to wonder if there is anybody left on our schedule we can beat.
Don't we play our last game against Colgate again?
Wondering if we can reschedule them. Saw where they got beat by 11 by an Ivy league team.

I have. Good night. Giving serious thought to returning ALL of my tickets back to the University and canceling my season tickets after 25 years. This isn't worth my time much less my money.

Better to be lucky than good. We are neither tonight.

Another pathetic play that illustrates our fatal weaknesses.
McKee is too slow and immobile and doesn't sense when the pocket is coilapsing, .
Bad O line blocking.
Plays take too long to develop.
Washington unpredictable, SU predictable.

I had faith after the USC game. Turnover margin was grim, but otherwise the game was competitive. This week is a blowout on all fronts. We might win 1 game this season.

Time for you alums to close your checkbooks until there is change.

Washington's offense is fun to watch. Ours is predictable and slow. Announcers just said 17 points of 3 Stan to's. Shaw will say we just need to clean that up.

We had a turnover problem against U$C and had two weeks to clean it up. If he does say that I don't know who he thinks he is fooling.

If my math is correct, as of tonight we will have lost 9 of our last 10 games. Feet to the fire time.

This game is a reflection of who we are. Team shows no ability to compete with, well, anyone else. This is who we are right now. I love Stanford, I don’t like this.

Stellar effort by Wilson for the TD. Commentator Papadakis (one of my favs) notes we have some "great tools"... so I guess our coaching is inadequate. 40-22 final score.
Will there be changes or do we just suffer through a predictably dismal rest of the season?

Tonight's announcers said Shaw told them he expects to get this new offense fully installed by mid season and then we should be who we are supposed to be...or something like that. I think he should ditch the slow rpo, occasionally do a regular rpo, and concentrate on protecting McKee or he won't make it to the middle of the season. He can spin the ball and isn't being given a chance in this slow mixmaster.

Almost certainly the latter.
By the way, why is it ok to say that by later in the season the "RPO" offense will be completely installed and fine tuned? Hell, if a change was to be made for this year, it should have been installed last spring and fine tuned in August.
I refuse to accept that excuse.

He did say that! And, yes, UW's offense is unpredictable, ours is quite predictable. I can only think of one unpredictable play tonight: the jet sweep by Wilson. Otherwise, bland and predictable. McKee has a strong arm but is slow as molasses. So he has no escapability. I don't see him as an NFL pro qb. As far as I can see it, NFL qbs these days have to be able to pull it down and run for first downs.

You forget the sheer genius of McKee's fake fumble play. No one could have predicted that one. Completely fooled the announcers, unfortunately though, it fooled no one else. . . .

Worse than bad: boring.
I was genuinely excited when the Stanford defense held UW to a field goal after halftime.
Worse than boring: sad.
Some sobering stats, just because:
Before Saturday night's game, UW ranked 78th out of 131 teams in tackles for loss. They had 12 against Stanford.
Before Saturday night's game, UW's running back Taulapapa had never run for 100 yards despite having played 19 games in which he had 10+ carries. He finished the night with 120 yards on 13 carries for a 9.2 ypc.
