What am I complaining about? I predicted 52-14 Oregon as the final score. Maybe I should have made it 52-10.

It’s a talent gap about the size of the Grand Canyon. Which is a much bigger problem.

But for the flags they’d have 40.  Game is not as close as the score indicates.

Ridiculous

I turned it off at 23-3. I'm going to sleep on it but in all likelihood I will not devote another minute to watching this team either in person or on TV until there is a new coaching staff

Wow. Just wow. We are awful. Never seen us this bad and heartless. Geez.

RE: Stanford at Oregon Game Thread - MV72018 - 10-01-2022

Great first half, Cardinal! 31-3. Way to represent!

Hey Bernie, these are acceptable places to have a meeting with Shaw.

The field

The tunnel

The locker room

The bus

The plane

The tarmac

The office

Yes you have.  Walt Harris.  That is what they are back to.  I always knew that they’d fall back.  That the run was not going to last forever.  But I didn’t think they’d fall this far.

Agree, 100%. Btw, if David Shaw hasn't been completely exposed before tonight, this game should complete the job.

Yeah, this is the worst Stanford football in a long, long time. Embarrassing bad.
Worse than Wlat? Maybe.

The players have been denied any chance of success on the field, feel sorry for them, experienced the same thing.  Would not fault a single one if they look to transfer.

Well, I guess I am as susceptible as the next guy for wanting to watch a train wreck.  Which is what this game is.  Mea culpa.

RE: Stanford at Oregon Game Thread - Phogge - 10-01-2022

I keep wondering whether this team would beat MaterDei.

It's debatable!

I've never seen such a lousy O scheme and such poor play calling. The guys on the O must be in the dumps. The whole O looks out of whack and utterly lacking in confidence.

i predict that after yet another inspiring halftime speech from Shaw, we come back and win in a thriller, resurrecting the program.

I could be wrong, but I don't think Walt had the talent that we allegedly have. This feels much, much worse.

We had 102 yds on O in H1!

We make our opponents look really good.

RE: Stanford at Oregon Game Thread - MV72018 - 10-01-2022

The difference in team speed is stunning.

RE: Stanford at Oregon Game Thread - old spanish trail - 10-01-2022

The much maligned Ethan Bonner is our best defender this eve.
