N case anyone was wondering, the time out was taken with 9 seconds, so it was not an impending delay of game.

I misinterpreted what you were saying. The time out was taken after the second down play. Usually coaches will wait until the third down play has been run to take a time out, lest the offense get the first down.

Stanford ran 52 plays in week 1 and 53 plays in week 2. Almost halfway through 3rd quarter, they are sitting at 32, with only 12 running plays.

I’m mad about the three. We should have had it turned over on downs.
Three man rush is not, per se, a problem. But if you let a receiver wide open when you are dropping eight, that is a problem.
