Dalton Schultz with a quiet night in their win, 3 catches for 12 yards.

RE: Stanford in the NFL - Nobadeer - 01-13-2026

Looks like Robinson played only 13 snaps for the Niners at Phila.

Bummer about Schultz. Didn’t know he was the Texans’ second best pass catcher.

Schultz has been a great weapon for CJ Stroud, especially with Tank Dell missing the whole season on the PUP list (tore his ACL, MCL, LCL in Wk16 of last season).  If Houston can upgrade their OL and stay healthy (and keep that defense ticking), they will be a force next season.

Who's left that still has a chance at being a Superbowl champion?

Parkinson - Rams
Hooper - Patriots

Anybody else?

RE: Stanford in the NFL - BobK - 01-18-2026

Drew Dalman da bears

RE: Stanford in the NFL - fullmetal - 01-18-2026

Bears lost, unfortunately.  Parkinson and Hooper are the only two left.  I didn't see any Stanford alumni on the Broncos' or Seahawks' rosters.

Texans might have had a better chance to win today with Mills.

RE: Stanford in the NFL - Nobadeer - 01-18-2026

Don't forget about LSJU and Seahawks legend Doug Baldwin! He raised the 12s flag pregame at Lumen Field last night. Guessing he'll be visible at next week's game.

Seattle's KR Rashid Shaheed took the opening kickoff back for a touchdown in the new dynamic kickoff return format pioneered by Sam Schwartzstein, former Stanford center for Andrew Luck and ex-director of football operations for the XFL.  You can see Sam commenting on game details during Amazon's Prime Video broadcasts of NFL games.

i don't think you're alone in thinking that.

Austin Hooper is going to the Super Bowl! Looks like he played 26 target-less snaps in the blizzard in Denver.

Parkinson caught 3 passes for 62 yards in Seattle. Unfortunately he had a very uncharacteristic drop on what could have been a 30 yard TD late in the game. He had a career season, 43 receptions on 56 targets for over 400 yards and 8 TDs. 24 of his receptions went for first downs.

RE: Stanford in the NFL - fullmetal - 02-08-2026

Austin Hooper played 31 of 71 total offensive snaps in Super Bowl LX, recording two catches for ten yards on three targets.  He'll be a free agent this offseason, and the Patriots are not expected to re-sign him.

In a way-too-early, three-round mock draft, Stanford CB Collin Wright is projected to be picked at #92 by the SF 49ers.  David Bailey is going at #4 to the Tennessee Titans.

Former Stanford receiver Trent Irwin signed a one-year contract with the 49ers.

Former Stanford guard and #13 overall selection in the 2015 NFL draft, 32-year old Andrus Peat, has announced his retirement. He made the Pro Bowl three times, and played with the Raiders and Steelers in his last two seasons.

Good to see Trent get another chance, though it's a crowded receiver room.  Mike Evans, Christian Kirk, Deebo Samuel, Demarcus Robinson, and second-round draft pick De'Zhaun Stribling all might project ahead of Trent on paper.  Best of luck to Trent!

A version of the cats and coyotes joke that seems timely.

Maybe they need to install a Faraday cage around the practice field...

Fine for the E field, but it won't attenuate the B field. We don't know which is the problem :-).
