We've almost caught up with ORST in penalty yardage.

This is anti-turtle.  We are not burning enough time on this possession.

We got bailed out on that PI call.

Way to telegraph the play. Slug.

RE: Stanford vs ORST Game Thread - martyup - 10-08-2022

I've got a bad feeling about this.

I disagree. That was a clear hold (even if they didn't call the same thing on the prior play).

And there it is . . .

RE: Stanford vs ORST Game Thread - Phogge - 10-08-2022

Of course it had to end that way. LOL a thousand times.

A very poor play by Fields. He is the safety net. Such a poor angle.

RE: Stanford vs ORST Game Thread - martyup - 10-08-2022

As I said, we needed to score 30 to win.

RE: Stanford vs ORST Game Thread - thunder_chik - 10-08-2022

I had the right score, but the wrong teams.  Yikes.

And there it is . . .

Classic snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Those who wanted us to lose so it would hasten Shaw's departure must be ecstatic.

RE: Stanford vs ORST Game Thread - martyup - 10-08-2022

We had to get our turnover margin up to stay #1.  We're going 1 for . . .

RE: Stanford vs ORST Game Thread - Leftcoast - 10-08-2022

No words.

Rogers and Lehrer yelled a few I can’t repeat though after slamming helmets into the bench.

Never in doubt.
The Turtle mode defeat...

RE: Stanford vs ORST Game Thread - terry - 10-08-2022

Stanford is a terrible football team, and terrible teams find lots of ways to lose games.

What a joke! Second string qb for OSU, OSU scores 18 in Q4, SU could not get a first down to clinch it (obvious play call with QB option on D3), then McKee overthrows for INT at end. Pathetic. Shaw should be history.

No, I picked OSU 37-27. So I got the SU total right, but I didn't know OSU's first string QB wouldn't be playing.

Going into South Bend, and coming back with a win would savage the season.
See 1992, Walsh > Lou "Brat" Holtz, for the "Midterms" Game.

But, returning 1-5 would be the end of the Season.
