HELL YES! STANFORD LEADS AFTER LAMSON BULLS HIS WAY INTO THE ENDZONE!
Stanford offense in 2024 is going to be about Daniels, Ayomanor and Lamson, for better or for worse. All three must play at their full potential for Stanford's offense to look good, and all three did that on this TD drive (OK, Ayomanor had a drop).

Keep hope alive. Thank you Ayomanor! Great catch! But that 2nd down and 2 call at the 2 with Daniels flanked outside was nauseating. Fooled no one. Might as well give the down away.

David Shaw had his failings in the final 3 years, but one thing that he was near automatic at was seeing out games like this with a 3+ point lead. Can TT maintain that from the Stanford teams of old.

We've been giving downs away all night. Even the announcers are questioning TT's calls.

They scored so easily on our D. Sad. The defender wasn't even in the same zipcode as the receiver.
GAME SET MATCH.
Gripes: those 2 long passes were unnecessary. Plenty of time was left. That's on Taylor, bigtime. On the 3rd down, our O lineman blew his block bigtime, giving the rusher a free path to Daniels. Then on 4th down, Daniels pass was too high, even for Ayomanor. SICK.
In short, that last drive featured PATHETIC PLAYCALLING AND EXECUTION.

Daniels is not the kind of QB that can sit in the pocket and try to hit long passes. That last drive was ill conceived.

I hate the last series of ours
Shoulda been more 5-10 yard slants
Move the ball
Get a first down
Or two or three
Instead we tried 2 long desperation high risk throws
Then another try for long routes on third & long when you know they’ll blitz and Daniels won’t have much time to get the pass off
Overall a big disappointment

OOOOOFF. Game over with the first down by TCU
QB Josh Hoover MVP... 28 of 41 for 353 yards and 2 TDs, no INTs.
His receivers fumbled. He is good. TCU = 460 yards of offense.
Our Defense stopped the run in the first half... but relented.
