While Lexie’s shooting was off last night, she had a bunch of rebounds and assists, did her usually disruptive things that do not show up in the box score. She also played excellent defense against Paige Bueckers, who shot just 6-19 and was 0-4 from theee. All this added up to a +14 for Lexie, which handily led the team. Again. Intangibles don’t have off nights.

In the W tonight, Seattle lost again, but Ogwumike continued her stellar (age 35!) season with 29 pts (despite only 1 for 6 on threes), 9 reb 4 ast 1 stl.
The Valkyries beat Washington, in defeat Iriafen had another double-double (1th of the season), 10 pts, 10 reb, and 4 ast. The expansion V's are well placed for a playoff spot.
And did somebody already mention Alanna Smith's fantastic stat line from Minnesota's win over the weekend: 8 pts, 9 reb, 7 ast, 4 stl, 3 blk. She is the Draymond Green of the WNBA (sans the technical fouls and other histrionics)!

The Lynx beat the Fever 95-90 despite a career high 23 pts by Lexie Hull of Indiana (9 of 16 incl. 4 of 7 on threes), who also had 4 reb 4 ast 2 stl in 38 minutes.
Alanna Smith 8 pts 3 reb 5 ast and Carrington added 4 pts and 2 ast for the league best Lynx (29-7).
A few weeks left in the WNBA regular season. The Fever are in 6th place but only 1.5 games ahead of LA in 9th place.
Phx beat the Valkyries. Kiana Williams played a couple scoreless minutes. Hasn't seen much playing time the past month.

interesting to watch the
highlights. if i am understanding correctly, the lynx start their offense with all 5 players at the 3-point line. unpredictable who will receive a screen and break for the basket, who might shoot a 3. without caitlin clark, the fever also often start with all 5 players outside though sometimes boston will post-up. both teams look very different than stanford on offense.

haley jones had 15 points in only 18 minutes last night for dallas. 2/3 from deep, 3 rebounds, 2 blocks. surprisingly, only 1/4 in free throws.

LA Sparks, vying for the last playoff spot, lost to Phx. Brink played 14 minutes, picked up 4 fouls. 4 pts 5 reb 2 ast 1 blk. Kiana Williams DNP.
The Fever beat Seattle by 20. Hull started, played 23 mins, 5 pts 9 reb 1 ast 1 stl. For Seattle, Ogwumike 17 pts but a season low 2 reb.
Seattle holds the 8th and final playoff spot, 1.5 games above LA. Seattle has 5 regular season games left, LA has 8.

Thanks for sharing this! I was watching this game live and loved seeing that moment, but wasn't sure how to find a clip of it to share with folks here. Other than Aaliyah Boston, Lexie definitely got the loudest applause when the Fever starters were introduced in Ballhalla this weekend. Fortunately for the home team, Lexie & co. coughed up a relative stinker and we won by a relatively comfortable 13 point margin.

Would a team consisting of Cameron, Kiki, Lexie, Haley, Kiana, Karlie, DiJonai, Nneka, and Alana be competitive in the WNBA?

Extremely legit at the post, decent on offense and very solid at defense in the wing/shooting guard, major weakness on both sides of the ball at the point. So in essence, how you'd summarize most of the past 20 years of Stanford basketball...

The LA Sparks lost to Atlanta tonight and are 1.5 games behind the Fever for the final playoff spot, with a week left in the regular season. Brink played 11 minutes, 3 pts, 3 rebs, 4 turnovers, 2 fouls.
For the season she is averaging 13.6 minutes, 5.7 pts, 4.2 reb, 1.1 ast, 2 blk - and 2.9 fouls.

I think I saw that sunday or monday Brink had 6 fouls in 13 minutes? Ouch! Overall great to see her playing steadily, and eager for her to return to the starting lineup.
