I thought this thread was going to be about Dudchock, who checked into the game after Toilolo got hurt and nearly hauled in a long touchdown pass.

If Toilolo can't go against ND, arrow up on Dudchock playing extensively. I'd wondered why we weren't seeing him earlier this year, but it's nice to see the coaches seem to think he's ready for some real playing time.

I suspect they'd rather break Dudchock in in a less-important game against a weaker opponent -- but who would have predicted that our plethora of tight ends would turn into a shortage??

I always assumed Najvar transferred because he felt he was too low on the depth chart and wouldn't get much playing time.

He'd be doing fine, now.

We thought that our multitude of tight ends was a luxury, but due to WR troubles, we ended up becoming reliant on 3 TE sets.
