Stanford Alumni NFL 2025 - Mick - 08-08-2025

Tanner McKee had a terrific game against the Bengals. 20/25, 252 yards, 2 TDs,

RE: Stanford Alumni NFL 2025 - fullmetal - 08-09-2025

I'm pretty impressed that Tanner did so well for a team that is built around a mobile QB1 (which Tanner is not, at that level).  Surely the Eagles know the value of a dependable, team-player QB2.

RE: Stanford Alumni NFL 2025 - Nobadeer - 08-18-2025

Ayomanor with 2 catches for 47 yards in Titans second preseason game.

Trenton Irwin is on the Jacksonville roster! New team, new coach, new QB. Caught 2 for 21 vs Saints yesterday.

Davis Mills 8 of 14 for 61 yards vs. Carolina.

DT Harrison Phillips has been traded from the Vikings to the Jets in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round draft pick and a 2027 swap of sixth-round picks.

RE: Stanford Alumni NFL 2025 - Nobadeer - 08-23-2025

Curtis Robinson with a great pick-six for the 49ers in the final preseason game v LA Chargers. He should make the final 53 man roster, right?

RE: Stanford Alumni NFL 2025 - Nobadeer - 08-26-2025

It looks like Robinson did not make the 53-man roster for SF. Neither did Trenton Irwin for Jax, Simi Fehoko for Arizona. Or former LSJU Drake Nugent (SF)

Tanner McKee fractured the thumb on his throwing hand in practice. His Eagles teammate, former LSJU Myles Hinton, was put on injured reserve.

In better news, it looks like Brycen Tremayne made the Carolina roster!

RE: Stanford Alumni NFL 2025 - PVTree - 08-26-2025

Sarrell, Fehoko, Irwin, Nugent, and Toohill all cut.

A non-Tree that surprised me being cut was Damien Martinez, the former River Rodent RB.

As a native Bengals fan, to maintain interest in the NFL, I used to cheer for whatever team had the most Stanford alums e.g. Elway Broncos.  I've lived in NYC twice but never got into their teams.  This season I already decided to cheer for the Giants as my NFC team because the Schoen Family charmed me from their star turn on Hard Knocks.  Looking at their final 53 man roster reminded me that Paulson Adebo is on the team, in addition to Bobby Okereke.

Now that that skunkbear Brady and Belicheat are gone, I am cheering for the Patriots because it's the local team, but cheering for the Giants adds  the bonus of annoying my Pats fan friends here.

RE: Stanford Alumni NFL 2025 - Nobadeer - 09-01-2025

Looks like Robinson (SF) and Fehoko (AZ) signed with their team's practice squads.

Belicheat's new team not doing so well, UNC trailing TCU 48-14 late in the 4th quarter.....

10 years ago, Stanford was paddling Sonny Dykes-coached teams at Kal on a yearly basis, and we would point and laugh.  Now Dykes takes the Horned Frogs on the road against one of the top five GOAT coaches of the NFL and doomhammers the Tar Heels.  If a present-day gremlin went 10 years back in time and told us that Dykes and Belicheck would coach against each other and Dykes would win 48-14, we would be scoffing and going, "Wait, what?"

The slow one now will later be fast, as Bob Dylan would say......

RE: Stanford Alumni NFL 2025 - fullmetal - 09-03-2025

Elic Ayomanor seems to have won a starting job as WR for the Titans.  Impressive work!

RE: Stanford Alumni NFL 2025 - Nobadeer - 09-08-2025

Ayomanor played a lot and had 2 catches on 7 targets.

Ertz caught a TD as usual. CMC was awesome as usual and is already pretty much the last man standing after only 1 game for the snakebit 49ers.

Higgins and Wilson each had 1 catch for AZ.

Brycen Tremayne made what I think is his NFL debut for Carolina!

RE: Stanford Alumni NFL 2025 - PVTree - 09-08-2025

Saw Hooper with a catch, Schultz with an almost catch, and Parkinson with a fumble. Didn't check their game stats. Okereke led the Giants in tackles, and saw Horrible Harry on the field. Didn't think Karty missed a kick.

RE: Stanford Alumni NFL 2025 - magnus - 09-09-2025

Saw Yurosek on the field with the Vikings.

RE: Stanford Alumni NFL 2025 - Nobadeer - 09-14-2025

Ayomanor first NFL TD! Already has 4 catches 56 yds in the first half v. Rams.

RE: Stanford Alumni NFL 2025 - Xylophobia - 09-14-2025

A few articles about Solomon Thomas returning to his hometown, a feature in March and an a mention of his first home game in AT&T stadium since high school today. 3 tackles at the half.

RE: Stanford Alumni NFL 2025 - BostonCard - 09-14-2025

McCaffrey has a receiving touchdown in a quiet-ish day for him so far (8 carries for 39 yards, 3 catches for 16), midway through the third quarter.

RE: Stanford Alumni NFL 2025 - Nobadeer - 09-14-2025

Brycen Tremayne caught his first NFL passes, 3 for 48 yds. The Panthers still lost to AZ.

I think Ertz had his usual TD catch the other night on TNF. It looks like he is now in the top 10 all time in NFL history for touchdowns by a tight end! He is 6th all time in receptions and 9th all time in receiving yards. Future Hall of Famer?

RE: Stanford Alumni NFL 2025 - fullmetal - 09-15-2025

On the other side from Brycen Tremayne was Michael Wilson, who had one rec for 11 yds on two targets for the Cardinals.

New England TE Austin Hooper (definitely our alum) had 3 rec for 38 yds, outproducing starting TE Hunter Henry (not an alum), who had 1 rec for 9 yds.
