Luck- Gruden QB camp - pincemob - 03-30-2012

Did anyone catch Luck's appearance in Gruden's QB camp show?  I missed the full show (I think it was on at 4pm Pacific today) but I caught the excerpts on SportsCenter.  Is there a link to the full show online?  How did he do ?

I don't know if they posted a replay anywhere on the Internet yet but it will get replayed a bunch on the ESPN networks. The listings show it will be on again a couple of times on April 10 on espnU.

Yeah, ditto on the Sports Center snippet. Thanks RMD.

Gruden really gigged him on the USC game pick; with a smile, but he really pushed it. Andrew rolled with it - big mea culpas and laughs - but he did take notes. Loved the way Luck threw the play diagram up on the board and went through the progressions: effortless as tic tac toe.

I thought that Spider 2 and Spider 3 "hit the primary!" ribbing was great!  The love-fest that was the first half of the show is justified, but nothing value-added or new.  Of course, Andrew handled the constructive criticism extremely well.

Cardfan, thanks for posting. I've been looking for that periodically and was peeved that ESPN opted not to have it on ESPN3.com replay. It was fun to see Luck's encyclopedic knowledge or formations and routes. It did start to raise my anxiety about how tough it is going to be to replace him. Just another reminder of what we're losing. Hopefully Nottingham, Nunes, and others were taking copious notes.

Not being an expert in the technical side of football, I'm curious about Gruden's comment that Luck is the first participant in the series in three years to go through a 7-step drop. Is that a particularly difficult maneuver? I'd assumed the more steps, the deeper the ball would be thrown, but the routes they showed seemed short-moderate on the 7-step.

It's a great series and I'm glad to get the insight.

I finally watched the QB camp on Youtube...good stuff.

I'm keeping in mind that ESPN will slice film as they please, but that sounded pretty candid :)
