This far out from admission, I don't think they would have had a decision one way or another (unless they clearly had some bad sophomore grades, and given everything with COVID, even that might not have sealed their fate).  But they would know what it would have taken to get in, and they might not have wanted to take that on.

I disagree. Coaches know far well in advance if a student is going to make it past admissions. For all we know, they stopped recruiting her during the summer because of her grades. Not saying it isn't likely, but admissions plays a factor all throughout the recruiting process.

Having these women practice through Thanksgiving and then start practice again in January with no assurance there will be a spring season is asking a lot.  IMO there is at best a 50/50 chance of a spring season.  I expect a continuation of peaks and valleys in Covid-19 with no real impact from the vaccine until the middle of next year.

So will it be McClure or Oglivie at libero.  I don't think Lougeay will be ready.

A freshman as six-rotation player on a Top 10 team must truly be special. And she was. Corral-Blagojevich posted nearly 400 kills with 126 aces while playing all but 10 sets for the Sea Hawks. Coach Tommy Chaffins praised her ability to not only swing the hammer, but understand what the defense was giving and adjust on the fly.

It wasn't great for the first half of the 2010's, but we've won three out of the last four National Titles.  The future turned out to be much better than we had feared.
