And, Delayah Daniels goes back home to Washington. Great pickup for the Huskies.
What about Taylor Chavez as a grad transfer PG option for Stanford?
In the portal as a grad xfer now out of Arizona after transferring out of Oregon before that and considering hanging em up after barely getting any PT in Tucson. Basically recruited over her most of her college career and weirdly barely given any opportunities to try and run things after Pao Pao went down a couple years ago for Oregon. Had a 4.42 GPA in high school: https://playeroftheyear.gatorade.com/win...avez/36468
Seems like she would fit Stanford's playing style. And seems like both parties would have nothing to lose.

I’ll bet that Taylor is smart and a good person. I thought she had potential that first year at Oregon, but she didn’t seem to earn the support of her coaches, because she didn’t get that much playing time. My impression was that she was a sharp shooter from the three-point stripe, yet she didn’t seem to shoot all that well the last couple of years. She could end up being just another journeyman that could be a liability.

last year she was under 30% on field goals; and she is also a defensive liability IMHO.

Agreed that Chavez would not be the answer to our PG dilemma. But I am sure Tara will try to fill the spot somehow, since she likes to use all her scholarships every year. I imagine we'll know more in another 10-15 days when transfer admissions decisions are sent out (assuming they're still sent out May 15 as when I was applying).

But after this off-season's hurricane of transfers blew through, your reporting will move from an interesting prelude to absolutely essential reading. It seems like half the teams in the Pac 12 will put out a group of starters who will be nearly unrecognizable to us in their current form.
But we shall see
Maybe we could rank the stability of the starting lineups of our opponents, from most familiar to least familiar? WSU seems most stable, is Arizona, with 7 players transferring in or out, the least? Oregon has 6, but those numbers may rise as the transfer in become clear.

Thank you 81. Yes I love doing what you describe and had almost all the Frosh or JC for 2022 and the commits for 2023
But so many still in the portal so I will wait a bit until the smoke clears. But working on those that have entered the portal
FYI WSU recently added several players non portal. All foreign although one a JC

Are there many examples from the past of players that enter the portal changing their minds and actually playing significant minutes for the team they were attempting to abandon? Or can we count on all WBB players in the portal to not be playing next year for their current teams?

You have to commend Coach Kim MULKEY for what she was able to accomplish during her 1st season at LSU, inheriting a mediocre team and molding them into a national Top 10 team by season's end.
At the end of her first season as coach, she lost her top 5 scorers and top 5 rebounders to graduation, with just 4 holdovers remaining led by their #7 scorer in 6'3 Hannah GUSTERS (4.4 ppg, 2.7 rpg, but #16 overall from Class of 2020)
And in just a matter of merely a month, she was able to fill her roster with the following notable additions:
Angel REESE 6'3 F Jr #2 overall from Class of 2020 (from Maryland, 17.8 ppg, 10.6 rpg, 1.7 spg, 1.1 bpg)
Kateri POOLE 5'8 G Jr #24 overall from Class of 2020 (from Ohio State, 4.8 ppg, 2.4 rpg)
Flaujae JOHNSON 5'10 G Fr #26 overall from Class of 2022 (2022 McD AA)
Ladazhia WILLIAMS 6'4 F Grad #48 overall from Class of 2017 (from Missouri, 12.4 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 1.2 bpg)
SaMya SMITH 6'2 F Fr #52 overall from Class of 2022
