Stanford vs USC Game Thread

I figured we would have to score on every drive to win this game. I didn't think our D could stop SC. I also guessed that we could move the ball on SC based on what I saw in the Rice game. At this point, we need some turnovers to have a chance. Come on Austin, cough it up!

It’s fine to put it in Shaw. But do it for the failure to recruit on the defensive side of the ball. You can’t coach around small, unphysical and slow. It’s impossible.
You can't recruit around it, either. At least not if you're Shaw. I don't even think he knows what he needs anymore. Certainly not in his coaching staff.
Life is too short to waste on crap football.

Is that our third turnover (2 interceptions + fumble)? Hard to overcome.
Pax et Bonum

I have watched a fair amount of Oklahoma football when Lincoln Riley coached there,
and even when Oklahoma lost, unless they played a team liked LSU with pros on their defense,
the Sooners got their points (30-40 pts).
Lincoln hasn't changed his coaching philosophy, so if Stanford wants to win tonight,
they have to beat Lincoln at his game, which means converting drives into TD's,
and getting stops as you can get them (and yes, FG's are stops in Big 12 football).
Now, we are not converting our drives into TD's, but SC is playing Big 12 defense,
where they give up yards between the 20's, and count on getting stops (TO's and FG's)
inside the 20 if the drive gets there.

i dunno Win. Score isn't great but the offense is pretty interesting.

There a shitty call and a fumble inside the five from being tied 21 to 21. They’re going to get slaughtered in this game I don’t have much doubt. But they are playing well offensively.

I'm not sure that our offense is as good as SC is making it look. Rice moved the ball well against SC. I think their D is pretty weak. Their offense is another story.
