Unbelievable. Up 24-10 at the end of the 3rd quarter; up 24-22 and driving with a minute and change to go; up 27-22 with less than a minute to go, and they find a way to lose it. What a SS.

I left the game with Stanford up 8 in the fourth quarter. Sounds like it was a wise choice.

They had a nice game winning drive going and then the genius gene got in the way of victory. And Stanford decided not to pressure the QB on the last drive. Bailey just stood there and covered a mirage.
Both teams are poorly coached. Penalties and mistakes enough for an entire season. I doubt Stanford can put away a game. Maybe they get lucky one time but 2-10 is optimistic.

Yep, he actually took an official visit to campus. Harbaugh tried to convince him that he and Andrew Luck would make a great QB duo and split time. He didn't buy it though.

If the safety is going to stand there and give the endzone, yes. The offsides shouldn't have mattered.
Any reasonable effort and angle and the game is won.

Yes, a first down would have ended it, and you probably could have gotten it easily with a bootleg and throw to a tight end or run if it’s open, except McKee probably can’t get us three yards on his feet, and in any case we don’t line up under center any more.
But, FWIW, we kicked a field goal to go up five (we didn’t have to punt), which should have been enough with a minute left and OSU out of time outs.

Interesting that the ND quarterback that day was Rick Mirer. His son Charlie is now a walk on freshman QB at Stanford.
