Unbelievable. Up 24-10 at the end of the 3rd quarter; up 24-22 and driving with a minute and change to go; up 27-22 with less than a minute to go, and they find a way to lose it. What a SS.

See 1992, Walsh > Lou "Brat" Holtz, for the "Midterms" Game.
But, returning 1-5 would be the end of the Season.

Both teams are poorly coached. Penalties and mistakes enough for an entire season. I doubt Stanford can put away a game. Maybe they get lucky one time but 2-10 is optimistic.

Silly me.
Loved RGIII announcing. Dude knows what he's talking about. Am I misremembering or was there once talk of him being on our recruiting radar in HS?

I suspect you are referring to that 3rd and 3 in Beav territory, when Shaw put in his running QB, Daniels, every Beav knew what was up, and he got crushed, lost yardage, and we had to punt. To me that wimpy play call was the turning point. Get a 1st down there and game over.

This is an unusually weak ND team. No salvage in "victory" that I can see for Shaw's team. Stanford vs. Irish: Hapless has-beens wandering in the wilderness of South Bend.
