Why? Because we won a game against a really bad team? Because a reversal of a call gave Stanford the game?  I missed much of the game because I was having quality time with a teenage daughter, but watched the last quarter or so. Good grief. We are a bad team. Notre Dame is worse. Shaw still needs to be fired or be told to replace most of his staff.

What?!? Good lord, seriously? I'm glad we won. I hate Notre Dame and their fans. Condolences for what exactly? Having a great time one on one with a teenage daughter for two hours? My evening was fantastic. The views from the top of Mt Diablo with the fog rolling in were spectacular tonight. Sitting in the passenger seat as my permit holding daughter roared through the turns was incredibly more exciting and awe inspiring than, dare I say, Stanford football.

McGill, Williamson and Fields all with more than one strong tackle

Bonner for mostly shutting down whomever he was marking,and for disruptive tackling

The 1990 game in South Bend will always be in my memory, but not because I was there. I was in Arizona, at my father’s funeral. After the service the family was at my mom’s house and my brother came into the house and said to me, “Sit down, and don’t get too excited.” I sat down, but I probably did get too excited. Always nice to beat ND in SB.

Congratulations to Coach Shaw, Coach Anderson, and to the team for a hard-fought, hard-earned win. The D played great. McGill and Bonner outstanding. Offense was rather mediocre racking up only 16 points and McKee was damned lucky to avoid the goat horns on that fumble call reversal, which could have easily gone ND's way. McKee did pass quite well, however. I liked that inside shovel call to Filkens. Tremaine's hands and Higgens's routes and running are solid. All in all, a good W to break the long FCS losing streak. Let's see if Shaw and Company can put together two or three W's in a row.

I too saw that one. I thought it was actually a pretty good shove and was fundamentally gratuitous. It really had no reason to be. I am pretty sure it would have been called if the officials actually saw it. It was IMHO a dirty play and was made because the ND player was pretty sure nobody was looking.

Not sure that helps Kal, but it might. Given Stanford's injury situation we may be starting Patu on the OL by then. He is over 200 lbs so he qualifies.
