I'm happy to say that my prediction of a Hawaii win looks way off base.
Offense looks fast with a lower talent roster. No pathetic delay of game calls. Shawtiva sucked at offense plays and it showed at the end.

Hawaii is playing like it's the team playing its first of the season. Right now, the penalties are Stanford 3 for 15 yards Hawaii 6 for 69 yards.

That was such a terrible effort to try and draw them offsides... At least fake the hike more than once...

We could also just not punt in plus territory! That sequence harkened back to some of the less memorable moments of the Shaw era (2014 against SC and Utah etc.)
A momentum turning decision to punt. Card unlucky yet lucky to only concede 3.

HI got very lucky to get in field goal range but we dodged a TD bullet a couple plays earlier.

We have some rough spots
That being said, I love it
Our offense tempo is so refreshing
It’s everything I’d hoped for
Ashton Daniels good with some confusion but the running option used effectively at times
Yurosek a worthy successor in Tight Ends U
On Defense, David Bailey a Beast
Our coaches using him so well
2 sacks & 3 tackles for loss
He’s all over the field
On one play he was double teamed, knocked one lineman back outta the play, man handled the other, and ended up hurrying their QB
Full speed ahead, keep up this great intensity & start, carry it through the second half

It might just be Hawaii (though they got within a score of Vandy); still, oddsmakers only had us favored by 3, so you might say it's only "just" Stanford.

13 first downs in 1st half. I wonder if that’s more than we had in some complete games last year?

It's unfortunate that the RB slipped on third down, but why are we settling for FG? I think we should be more aggressive and try to put the game away by going on 4th down, particularly on the road.
We want to avoid a late game comeback, a la SDSU 2017.

Our running game is terrible.
Dubious call on third down by Taylor.
Game still not over if Hawaii can strike fast again.
Where would we be without UH's penalties.
Our pass D is quite porous, as I suspected, which I why I had picked UH.
Love Daniels's game.
