The refs were horrible, but so was our offense. We should have been able to score enough to overcome the bad calls.

Ogden and Heal combined for 1-11 shooting. The team was 13-18 FT...could have used a few of those. 39.7% FG is terrible on your home court, but I get it, finals week is a terrible time for important sports events.

This train wreck of a season mercifully ends with another disappointing loss. Time to turn the page and hope the new blood has more fight in them.

For those of us who had a sliver of hope that maybe a postseason tourney run could provide some positive momentum going into next season, no such luck. Should have just skipped this inferior postseason tourneys altogether. Of course all the good official are going to be officiating NCAA tourney games this weekend.

Shearer, the portland guard, can't be guarded by Heal but paye hasn't changed that
Totally agree with this and at least 4 times Port cleared out the paint and sent Shearer in there where she was guarded (not) by Heal for a two foot jumper or layup.

It’s sad that Courtney got the start and had a bad game. I thought this was going to be a great momentum builder for next season. In the first half we got the Stanford from the beginning of the season and the second half was the Stanford we had seen lost time and time again. We went from 40 first half points to 20 in the second half. What a terrible turnaround. But we should have expected it. Then in the OT period, Stanford started quick and had momentum until Nunu decided to throw it to half court to Portland instead of the two teammates she had closer to her. I should have left then, instead I’m getting home late and have to be up early for work. On the bright side; Sunday just cleared up…

I believe this game was the least well attended game this year. They closed off the upper level completely and the bottom level was sparse. It was very quiet much of the time. It hardly seemed like a home advantage.
EDIT: Attendance was 1106. Absolutely horrific. I don't remember a game that bad since I began watching Stanford WBB.
Agara's charging foul at the end, which erased a basket and disqualified her, really was the turning point. I don't know if the call was correct or not, but for the second year in a row we end our season with our star offensive player fouling out with offensive fouls.

I really don’t want Kate to become the type of coach to complain all game long, but if you look at the ones that do, they seem win more games. This was the worst officiated game

Yes, very disappointing. So quiet that I could clearly hear the Portland coach yell from the other end of the court. Guess the combo of finals week and being in the consolation tourney dampened support for our team.

I thought the earlier bogus charging foul, which was overturned after review, was when things really went south. Nullified the basket that came on the dump off, and from that point on, it was seemingly 5-on-8.

Portland’s light full court pressure shortened the shot clock for us. By the time we got into the front court, we’d have only 20 seconds or so to then figure out the zone defense and how to run something against it. In the first half, we attacked after breaking the press; in the second, we let them recover and set the defense. Maddening.
