I sense a game winning FG at the gun for Hawaii. Their QB knows how to complete the short throws.
Not hard when there is no pressure and DB’s are playing off.

Lot of kids played their guts out. 91 and the QB…..QB mistakes were physical. 91 can wear this one. It’s on hm.

Hmm, how do you feel about 91? Your series of posts about him didn't make it clear. :-)
Not defending it, it sucked. Think ref overreacted too, but it's NCAA so 91 was dumb there. But it would have still been 2nd down without the penalty. We have no idea what would have happened after that.
So let's not lose focus on blaming our absolutely terrible QB play, Reich sticking with him, and the horrible play-calling on our last possession!

Yes I’m bummed, mad, disappointed
But I find a silver lining
Our OLine is better
We can run the ball
Our D was missing key guys and held a high scoring offense pretty well

The defense played ok, not great, considering their QB was hobbled for the crucial parts of the game.
Our running game was also ok, perhaps even good. Our passing offense was atrocious. I wish Brown would have been given a look to see what he could do as Gulbranson showed almost nothing, especially when pressured.
Hate to say it, but I think we win this game with Daniels as the QB. I can think of very few recent Stanford QBs who could have played worse than Ben did today.
Reich has to shoulder some of the blame also. I didn't see any innovative plays today. Meat and potatoes which is fine for a game you're winning and controlling. The last drive passing plays were baffling. No TOs on their last drive was surprising. Not trying Brown after seeing how Ben was playing was the opposite of intrepid.
