For what it's worth, given the recent events (Horowitz, divestment vote, the alleged campus climate Jews are facing), neither my wife nor I, both of whom are active alumni and Jewish, would never have applied Stanford if we were current high school seniors.  Such sentiment is likely concerning the school's administration and likely why the Board of Trustees sternly rejected the ASSU's recomendation to divest from Israel.
