Although it turned out okay this was a foolish stunt.  He could have easily damaged nerves, tendons or muscles in his wrist, arm and/shoulder, I think, and for what?  Bragging rights at the potential expense of his career?

I'm probably being a curmudgeon but this was my thought too: "Cool - but that could have gone very wrong very fast."

Also, it should be noted that Beckham had one QB and was using the same hand for the entire minute, while Smith had two passers and was using both hands independently.  That obviously gave Smith an advantage in a time-restricted situation.  Granted, Beckham's QB was Drew Brees.
